Louis Ryan (Voice)

Louise studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama for four years, to gain the Licentiate and the Advanced Certificate Diplomas in Voice.
She also won the John Thomas Award for Piano Studies.

Louise has taught for 22 years,nurturing young, Welsh vocal talent and preparing individuals for the professional platform, (Charlotte Church), College and University entry, professional studio recordings, TV/Radio/Theatre appearances and other media related events.

Louise has been fortunate to have worked with world renowned record producers and composers, James Horner ( Soundtrack of A Beautiful Mind ); David Foster ( Song for the Opening Ceremony, Winter Olympics); Keith Thomas ( Sony USA); Jeremy Caulton and Grace Rowe ( Sony USA ); Howard Blake ( The Bear ); Trevor Horne ( Ford Car advert ); Bill Whelan and Steve Mac ( Soundtrack of A Christmas Carol ) and Julian Smith ( Welsh National Opera).
As well as teaching singers of most genres, (Classical, Traditional, Musical Theatre,Gospel, mainstream Pop, R&B, Rock and Jazz), Louise also composes,arranges and stages original songs, introduced in showcases (produced with Al Steele at Shabbey Road Recording Studios, Caerphilly ).
Louise's services have also been used in conjunction with performances and recordings with Josh Groban, Luciano Pavarotti, Jason Howard, Peter Karrie, Shirley Bassey and Wyclef Jean.


A new team of drama staff now run classes alongside Julie Barclay to provide a variety of tuition and expertise.


Beth House is a specialist in devising, developing text, working with new writing and physical theatre – she is the artistic director of ‘Taking Flight’ Theatre Company and works regularly as an actress. She is also the chairperson of ‘Equity’ – the professional actors union in South Wales.
Rowan Talbot is a specialist in the art of Commedia dell’ Arte techniques for actors. His physical approach to drama appeals to the students and teaches them new ways of observing each other and themselves as performers.

Beth House (Drama )

Beth graduated from Birmingham University Drama Dept in 1998, and since then has worked at various bizarre jobs in various countries. Over the past 10 years, she has been working as an actor and workshop leader for many different companies. She now runs a theatre company in Cardiff, working with physically disabled and non disabled actors, creating  perfrmances which tour S Wales.

Beth is particularly interested in  physical theatre, especially mask, puppetry adn physical comedy. She hopes to bring these skills to the young people at Louise Ryan Vocal School.

 

Rowan Talbot (Drama)

Rowan trained at Rose Bruford College and graduated with a BA (HONS)IN Acting. He also trained in Physical Theatre, Commedia Dell'arte and Clown with The Rude Mechanical Theatre Co. He is The Artistic Director of award winning Blunt Instrument Theatre and the Assistant Director of The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company. Rowan works as a freelance professional actor, writer, musician, theatre director, teacher and practitioner.
